Have you ever thought how much fun it would be,
if you could see everything you want to see.
And wouldn't it bring you barrels and barrels of cheer,
if you could hear everything you wanted to hear.
Another thing I think would be nice,
is if you could decorate your house in sugar and spice.
And instead of washing dishes all day,
you'd have a hungry, energetic dog to lighten your day!
My biggest ambition of all was to be a witch,
and I'd have the power my nose to twich.
And I could turn whoever bothered me
into a monkey in a tree.
I can think of things I'd change,
and mean people's lives I'd rearrange.
Those who were smug and vain,
I'd like to ruin their fancy hairdo in the rain!
Oh, gosh, give me power and let me run free,
I'd have a lotta fun just being me.
I'd go and see the mean rich man and make him itch,
he'd never have enough sense to know I'm a witch.
To the snotty woman driving in her fancy car,
I'd make her drive right to the shabbiest bar.
And have her drink until she was completely sot,
and when they asked me her name, I'd say I forgot!
The man who two timed his wife,
I'd have a little fun to cause him strife.
The other woman who he flirted yet,
I'd make sure that she's who he'd get.
And she would make him suffer so,
but when he tried to go back to his wife, she'd tell him no!
And the person who didn't want to work,
I'd give him an all knowing smirk,
It would be a mark that the whole world would know,
and it would really embarrass him so!
Ah, if wishes were horses and not just dreams,
if writing them could make them come true, I'd write reams.
My mind would work like it had wheels,
and mischief, if you can't guess, to me, appeals.
Oh, Gosh, oh Gee, if all this would come true
I'd be busy all the time and never have time to be blue.
Have you thought how much fun it woud be,
if you could see everything you wanted to see!
