I read in the paper,
About another bombing caper.
A bomb is a cowardly way,
No matter what they say,
To fight any war.
This is something we can not hold still for.
Our soldiers stand proud.
But from out of a crowd,
A vehicle blows up, like a mushroom cloud.
People die, and cry out loud.
Women and children lay in the street.
Some are covered with a sheet.
The ones who did this have made will, their retreat.
If together we stand, soon we will defeat.
But if we take a backseat,
They will just repeat.
A soldier’s life may depend on this.
For the next time they may not miss.
So please don`t stand in the way.
Get down on your knees, and start to pray.
Pray to God, not for a Memorial Day,
But for peace, to last, forever and a day.
